The sad truth is that 1 in every 68 children worldwide identify with autism. That is a lot of children dealing with autism and a lot of parents. If there is one person that understands this, it is Sanjay Shah Denmark, the founder and CEO of Solo Capital. Keep in mind, this is a man that used to study medicine before walking away from it because it wasn’t for him. Not many people do that. That is a bold move to make and one that was probably not very popular with a lot of people. However, when someone knows, they just know.
He worked his way up by being an accountant at investment banks such as Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley. However, it did not take him long to realize he was his own man that wanted to follow his own path. He went after that path and went full throttle. It is always risky starting a company, but it does allow the individual to do things on their own terms and learn from what others have done and have their own brand of management. Sanjay Shah knows that without any risk, there is no reward.
There were a lot of risk involved when he started Autism Rocks along with his wife Usha. However, since they have an autistic son of their own, they knew they needed to do it. This event is not only for him, but it is for everyone that has a child with autism and are dealing with people that just don’t understand in their life. Now, people are understanding, especially with musical legends such as Prince, Lenny Kravitz, Michael Bublè and Drake in London and Dubai having performed at this event in the past. Those are some of the biggest names in the music industry, especially the late, great Prince.
Sanjay Shah believes in the old expression that someone has to either go big or go home. He has decided to go big with Autism Rocks and it is only going to grow bigger and it will be interesting to see what future events hold.
